The Best Libertarian Case for Voting for Obama

Tabarrok offers the best defense ever of a libertarian vote for Obama in this post.

It would help Obama however if he could apply the word freedom more often to issues other than social mores and also get his tax and trade policies right.

The leadership of the Libertarian Party of Alaska endorsed Palin for Governor in 2006. She spoke to two LP meetings that year at their invite. Even her Libertarian opponent in the race Billy Toien endorsed her the last 3 days, telling his supporters to "vote for Sarah."

I wonder if the Libertarian Party of Illinois has ever supported Obama? Somehow, I think not.

Actually, it would help Obama if he supported some libertarian policies once in a while. Can't think of a single one.

Does he opppose the 55 mph speed limit? Does he favor repealing seat belt laws? Does he support Property Rights/Against Eminent Domain? Does he want to abolish the IRS? How about campaigning against Mandatory Smoking Bans right there in Chicago? Maybe repeal of discriminatory and racist Affirmative Action laws?
